I hadn't seen my friend Michel Audouard for many years when we met again this summer (2020).
It was moving to see the time's marks on our faces and to talk about what life had proposed us to live during these last fifteen years.

Michel is a visual artist and music lover. Sometimes he plays drums in his workshop that is close to his beautiful old house in the south of France.
I proposed to him that we record some improvisations.
We played together for the first time. This album includes three quarters of what we recorded.
I selected the best moments.
The window was open over looking a hot sunny little yard populated with loquacious birds.

After a dinner Michel talked to me about a beautiful book by the italian philosopher Emanuele Coccia, Metamorphosis. Reading it was a strong, inspiring and enriching experience. These improvisations as musical metamorphosis are a tribute to the Coccia's work.
